History
In 2016, new energy regulations mandated higher R-values and thermal efficiency for precast sandwich wall panels. Leveraging our consulting firm's robust engineering capabilities, we collaborated closely with our clients to innovate.
We developed a non-conductive connector as an alternative to traditional steel truss connectors, effectively meeting both the thermal and structural demands of composite sandwich panel construction.
Our process involved close collaboration with fibreglass manufacturers to define the product's strength and fatigue resistance requirements necessary to meet the structural demands of sandwich wall panels. This partnership gave us direct control over the production and engineering process, ensuring quality and performance tailored to our needs.
Both small and large scale testing were done to ensure the structural performance of G-TIEs.
